Meet Ksenia Moskalenko, FLF’s New Director of Platform and Venture Operations
Florida Funders welcomes Ksenia Moskalenko as our new Director of Platform and Venture Operations. Ksenia has worked in corporate finance, built a space tech startup that put satellites into orbit, and most recently helped Florida founders get their companies off the ground. Now she's bringing that range to the team that supports FLF's portfolio founders.
From Corporate Finance to Space Tech
Ksenia was born in Eastern Europe and grew up in Boston, where she also attended Suffolk University to study finance and international relations. She started her career in Corporate Finance at S&P 500 companies, including Procter & Gamble and JetBlue.
From there, she crossed over to the founder's side and built a deep tech company in the space sector. Her team sent satellites into space, and Ksenia spent those years pitching investors, raising capital, and handling everything else that lands on an early-stage founder's desk.
Before joining FLF, she worked with the Florida High Tech Corridor, a regional economic development initiative of the University of Central Florida, the University of South Florida, and the University of Florida. She led the Orange County cluster through Cenfluence, focused on learning sciences and human performance, and supported 80+ companies with resources and tools needed to launch, scale, and grow in the region and beyond.
She also helped design and secure support for Florida Capital Pathways, a grant-funded program that helps startup founders access the capital, resources, and investor connections they need to grow and scale their companies.
Thirteen Years in the Gym
Ask Ksenia what she's best at, and she has a quick answer: "My superpower is that I can get stuff done."
Her colleagues have always known they can rely on her. She's persistent about tracking down the information she needs, and she uses it to make execution easier for the people around her.
She traces a lot of that discipline back to her 13 years as a professional gymnast. As a fun fact, Ksenia won the title of USA National Champion in Rhythmic gymnastics in 2016 and spent college years teaching kids and growing the next generation of athletes.
Sitting on the Other Side of the Table
For most of her career, Ksenia was the one pitching. At FLF, she gets to support founders through the same fundraising and growth stages she worked through herself, which is a big part of what drew her to the role.
She's also focused on extending FLF's reach well past the Southeast and supporting founders across the country. She's eager to figure out what platform operations should look like at the region's leading venture firm. In her words, she “can't wait to unpack” what the role means at FLF.
Say Hi to Ksenia
If you're an FLF portfolio founder, Ksenia wants to meet you. She'll be reaching out, but you can feel free to beat her to it by saying hello. Founders building in Florida or anywhere else can connect with her on LinkedIn and tell her what they're working on.
